February is National Heart Month, with National Wear Red Day on 24th February when the  British Heart Foundation are encouraging people to hold charity events to raise awareness of the risks of heart disease and the things we can do to look after our hearts.

A warning from the British Heart Foundation have released figures for the region showing that hundreds of people die each year, with an average of 116 deaths in Barrow, 182 in Copeland and rising to an average of 203 deaths in South Lakes.
